JOIN
the Voices of Recovery
September is National Alcohol & Drug Addiction Recovery Month.
Hundreds of organizations and communities throughout the country will celebrate recovery. This year's theme, "Join the Voices for Recovery, Recovery benefits everyone" highlights the benefit to society when investing in the treatment of people with substance abuse disorders.
Most people understand that it's tough to recover from an addiction problem. In fact, many people think it's impossible. But that's simply not true. Addiction, while a chronic and relapsing condition, is also very treatable. In fact, treatment and how people do in treatment is a much studied area. We know for a fact that treatment results in:
- Less criminal justice involvement,
- Less medical care usage and improved overall health,
- Less social service involvement,
- Increased employment,
- Decreased substance abuse.
We invite you to celebrate recovery with us in September 2011 and participate in the local events for Churchill County, NV
- 4th Annual Kara Kelly-Borognone Memorial Softball Game
- 5th Annual Recovery Day, Saturday, September 17th, 2011 located at Pioneer Park, Fallon, NV
